WebP vs AVIF on WordPress: Real-World LCP Impact
We compressed 200 real WordPress site images in PNG, JPEG, WebP, and AVIF and measured the LCP impact of each format. AVIF delivered 75% smaller files than PNG with identical visual quality at Q80.
